Joining Pegasus Running Club

If you’re interested in joining us, it’s easy! Here’s how:

Step 1: Do you have any initial questions about the club? Hopefully our website gives you a lot of information, but if there’s anything you’re unsure about, simply contact us by clicking this link and one us will get back to you shortly.

Step 2: Come along to one of our runs to check us out. Again, contact us through this link to make the arrangements. One of our experienced run leaders will welcome you, introduce you to some of our club members who run at your pace and guide you through the run.

Step 3: All good? Just read through and complete the online application form below, and we’ll be in touch to finalise your membership. That’s it!

As a new member, you are eligible for a Pegasus Running Club branded vest or t-shirt. You can have this customised with your name, if you wish (helps spectators cheer your name at races!).

Terms and Conditions of Membership


When you become a member of or renew your membership with Pegasus RC you will, unless opted out of affiliation, be registered as a member of Welsh Athletics. We will provide Welsh Athletics with your personal data which they will use to enable access to an online portal for you (called myATHLETICS). Welsh Athletics will contact you to invite you to sign into and update your MyATHLETICS portal (which, amongst other things, allows you to set and amend your privacy settings on their system).


General Data Protection (GDPR) In order to comply with GDPR all individual personal information will be stored on the Welsh Athletics portal which Pegasus RC will use for internal purposes. Access is available on the WA portal. You consent that data about you may be shared, when deemed appropriate by the club’s Management Committee or Welfare Officers, with Run Leaders and other members designated by the Management Committee acting on behalf of the club who may also contact you using any of the details supplied. Relevant information about you may also be shared by members designated by the Management Committee and acting on behalf of the club with event organisers and their registration partners if you elect to take part in events where entries are handled by the club rather than members individually or our insurers & British Athletics if requested, for example, in relation to an accident or near miss. Relevant details about Session and Integrated Members, plus anyone who attends sessions at Llandaff Cathedral Green, may be shared with the appropriate members of their committee and stored on their systems. Participants at club activities may include qualified leaders, current members, prospective members, former members, friends and visitors.


I confirm that I understand that participation in club activities is entirely at my own risk and should consult my own doctor if suffering from any condition that might make running injurious to my health. I understand that I must feel well prior to each session and will notify an organiser should I feel well at any time during the session.


I understand that my participation and safety are my responsibility and I agree that Pegasus Running Club or any individuals shall not be liable for any accidents, injury, loss, damage, claim or expense that may arise in consequence of my participation.


All members agree to follow the Pegasus RC Code or Conduct and support the Club’s Constitution & other policies. See details under Links and Downloads


I will advise a Welfare Officer or a member of the Management Committee if anything occurs during club activities that causes me distress and keep the relevant people in the club updated if my health or personal circumstances change during the membership year.


By becoming a member of the club, you are automatically agreeing to the codes of practice as stated by Welsh Athletics – this relates to the codes of conduct, to the rules of UK Athletics and to adhere to all anti-doping rules and regulations. All members shall be deemed to have made him/herself/themselves familiar with and agreed to be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UKA Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti Doping rules. The UKA Anti-Doping rules apply to all members participating in Athletics for a minimum of 12 months from the commencement of membership, whether or not the member of a citizen of, or resident in, the UK.


Except where stated in these terms your details will not be passed on to other third parties without prior notification.
