The end of November saw the annual Pegs Christmas Do!
The gathering was held at the Big Moose Cafe Bar in Cardiff city centre and it was the perfect setting. The evening started with the AGM and a raffle. This followed by a delicious buffet and a festive themed Quiz with our very own Run Leader Ali P as the quiz master. The club ballot draw for the London Marathon place was also drawn and this year the lucky winner was Em B. Good luck Em with this super challenge!
Not only was a fun night had by all but the proceeds of the raffle were split three ways and donated to charities; Big Moose, Penrhys Foodbank and Taff Ely Foodbank.
In addition to the raffle there was also a collection for Penrhys and Taff Ely Foodbanks.
Unfortunately a very wet Sunday in December was chosen as the day to deliver the donations to Taff Ely Foodbank vía a 10k run around the streets and community paths of Pontyclun. Although all those running got completely soaked the run was enjoyed by all and donations were greatly appreciated. The run added miles to the RU2C (Run up to Christmas) challenge which many Pegs had signed up to again this year.
The current financial climate has seen some very difficult times for some and it is so great to see the generosity of Pegasus Members going to such good causes.
